Tara Cash Schwoebel, Johnny Cash’s youngest daughter, gave her father a book with 365 questions about his childhood in 1995 and asked him to fill it out for her. On her birthday a year later, he gave it back with handwritten replies to her questions.
“Recollections by J.R. Cash: Childhood Memories by Johnny Cash” has just been published by Tara Cash Schwoebel, an Oak Grove resident. The book covers Johnny Cash’s early life in Arkansas growing up on a cotton farm as one of nine children. Tara Cash Schwoebel will sign copies at 3 p.m. Nov. 22 at Music Millennium.
