PORTLAND, Ore. – There’s no denying that more people are driving electric vehicles than ever before but for automakers like Tesla, and non-profit groups like Drive Oregon, there’s always been the feeling that more work was needed to be done to educate consumers about the benefits of electric vehicles versus traditional gas or diesel powered vehicles.
Thankfully the EV industry will soon get their chance to reach more consumers here when an EV education center and showroom is open right in Downtown Portland Oregon thanks to a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy.
What To Expect From The EV Showroom
Since the only exposure, most people get to electric vehicles is on TV or from commercials, the EV education center will offer consumers the ability to see electric vehicles close up and have their questions answered by trained staff who are knowledgeable about the wide variety of EV vehicles that are available on the market today.
Brand Neutral Education At The EV Showroom
Although the EV Education Center would be a great opportunity for one brand like Tesla to promote their vehicles directly to the consumer, it’s going to be 100% brand neutral, so consumers can get to know electric vehicles and find the vehicle that would work best for them without feeling pressured to purchase a specific make or model.
